Minimum temps hover near normal in Punjab, Haryana

The meteorological department reported that minimum temperatures across various locations in Haryana and Punjab remained close to the seasonal averages on Sunday.

Chandigarh, serving as the common capital for both states, witnessed a low of 11.4°C, just below the normal for this season.

In Haryana, temperatures were reported as 11.2°C in Ambala and 9.9°C in Karnal. Hisar noted a minimum temperature of 9.3°C, while Rohtak recorded 11.4°C. Bhiwani and Sirsa registered lows of 10.3°C and 12°C, respectively.

Moving to Punjab, Amritsar experienced a low of 10°C, Ludhiana 9.2°C, Patiala 10.3°C, Pathankot 10.9°C, and Bathinda 9°C.

Gurdaspur recorded a minimum temperature of 10°C.

The meteorological department has forecasted dense fog at isolated places for the next two days in both Haryana and Punjab. Minimal fluctuations in minimum temperatures are expected in the coming days.
