In a bid to sway the Gurjar community’s sentiments, Prime Minister Narendra Modi continued his assault on the Congress in poll-bound Rajasthan, alleging a culture of arrogance and dynastic politics within the party. Speaking at separate rallies in Jahazpur and Sagwada towns, Modi criticized the Congress’s treatment of leaders who dared to speak against the party’s first family.
Modi asserted that the Congress’s leaders, particularly from Delhi, were challenging the youth in Rajasthan who have faith in Lord Devnarayan, the god of the Gurjar community. He highlighted the arrogance of Congress leaders and warned that anyone daring to speak the truth unpalatable to the party’s first family saw their political career come to an end.
The Prime Minister referenced Rajesh Pilot, a senior Congress leader, who once challenged the Gandhi family for the party’s benefit. Modi claimed that although Rajesh Pilot later backed down, the family punished him, and the repercussions continue for his son, Sachin Pilot.
Predicting that the Congress would never return to power in Rajasthan, Modi criticized the party’s leaders for their arrogance and their disconnect with the people. He accused the Congress of being anti-Dalit and making policies that are detrimental to the interests of the people.
In Sagwada, Modi confidently stated that Ashok Gehlot, the Chief Minister of Rajasthan, would not return to power. He expressed his prediction that Gehlot would never form the government in Rajasthan again.
The Prime Minister cautioned the audience against voting for other parties, specifically mentioning the Bharatiya Adivasi Party, and urged them not to make the mistake of trusting these alternatives. Modi accused the Congress of neglecting tribal communities and insulted the party for its treatment of the tribal population.
Congress spokesperson Swarnim Chaturvedi responded, stating that Modi’s comments were uncalled-for and emphasized the Congress’s commitment to return to power in Rajasthan based on its track record and promises fulfilled.
