Mumbai,In a daring move, Inspector Deepak Sawant, the head of Crime Branch Unit 10 of the Mumbai Police, disguised himself as a food delivery agent to apprehend a drug peddler in Jogeshwari, seizing mephedrone worth ₹10 lakh.
The operation took place in the SV Road area during the night of Saturday and Sunday, resulting in the arrest of Faisal Akbar Makhanoja (34) after a chase led by Sawant and his team.
The police successfully recovered 100 gm of mephedrone (MD) valued at ₹10 lakh from the accused. A case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered.
