Nawada , In a move aimed at enhancing patient convenience, OPD patients at Sadar Hospital no longer need to wait in line for registration. By using the Abha app, patients can register online, significantly reducing wait times. The hospital has seen a steady increase in patient numbers, reflecting the improved facilities and services available. This shift indicates a growing preference for government hospitals over private ones.

On Thursday, DPM Amit Kumar, alongside health department personnel and representatives from the Piramal Foundation, briefed patients about the Abha app at Sadar Hospital. They explained how patients could register via the app without standing in queues and consult with doctors directly. The app ensures that all treatment-related information is securely stored, facilitating seamless future consultations.

The Abha app, a government initiative, allows patients to save their entire medical history and prescriptions, offering substantial benefits and convenience. This facility is expected to streamline the registration process and enhance the overall patient experience.

DPM Amit Kumar emphasized the benefits of the app, explaining that patients could scan the QR code for OPD registration using various methods, including the phone camera, scanner, Arogya Setu app, and others. After scanning, patients need to enter their details and share their profile to receive a token number, which is then used at the OPD registration counter.

The app’s introduction is part of a broader effort to accommodate the increasing patient load due to the hospital’s improved treatment quality. Siraj Ahmed from the Piramal Foundation provided a detailed walkthrough of the app’s registration process, highlighting that patients could immediately seek treatment by showing their online registration number or the QR code from the Abha app. This initiative promises to save patients time and reduce hassle, ensuring that all patient information is securely stored for future use.

Avanish Chandra from the Piramal Foundation noted that the Abha app is designed to prevent unnecessary waiting and ensure that patients receive timely and appropriate care. With online registration now available, patients can benefit from more efficient healthcare services at Sadar Hospital.
