The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the cancellation of the UGC-NET exam on Wednesday. The Ministry of Education received indications of severe irregularities compromising the integrity of the exam. In response, the Ministry has decided to cancel the June 2024 UGC-NET exam to maintain the highest standards of transparency and sanctity in the examination process.

In an official statement, the Ministry of Education explained that the decision was made to ensure the utmost transparency and integrity of the examination process. The matter has been handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for a thorough probe. The new exam date will be announced later.
