Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is currently on a tour of Britain, where he visited the Science Museum in London on Friday. During his visit, he explored the distinctive features of the Science Museum in London. The Chief Minister expressed his intention to model the upcoming Science City in Patna after the London Science Museum, incorporating modern technologies to facilitate students in understanding fundamental scientific principles easily.

The construction of the Patna Science City near Moinul Haq Stadium in Rajendra Nagar is underway. Spread across 21 acres and named after former President APJ Abdul Kalam, this magnificent Science City aims to bring Bihar and its residents face-to-face with the wonders of science. It will feature galleries such as the BAE Scientist Gallery, Space Astronomy Gallery, Sustainable Planet Gallery, Body and Mind Gallery, and Basic Science Gallery. Nitish Kumar envisions making this Science City world-class, hence his visit to the Science Museum in London for inspiration.

Accompanying the Chief Minister during the tour of the London Science Museum were former minister and MP Sanjay Kumar Jha, Chief Secretary Deepak Kumar, Secretary of Building Construction Department Kumar Ravi, Director of Global Engagement Science Museum Group Sushri Helen Jones, Manager of International Science Museum Group Shalini Narayan, Maintenance Manager of Science Museum Fergus Carroll, and Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Science City Project Consultant Sujit. It is noteworthy that the Chief Minister is currently on an official visit to London.
