DEHRADUN:In a picturesque but perilous pre-wedding shoot, a Delhi couple faced danger as they got stuck in the rising waters of the Ganga river during their shoot in Rishikesh. Identified as Manas Kheda (27) and Anjali Aneja (25), the couple’s romantic photo session turned into a rescue operation.

State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) commandant Manikant Mishra reported that when the SDRF team reached the spot near Singtoli area, the couple was dangerously close to being swept away. The swift intervention of the SDRF team, with the help of locals, prevented a potential tragedy.

The couple, unaware of the sudden rise in water levels, found themselves in distress. Manas Kheda was rescued unconscious, and after receiving first aid, both were transported to a local hospital for further treatment.

The incident serves as a cautionary tale for couples indulging in unconventional photoshoots, highlighting the importance of understanding natural surroundings and potential risks.
