In the aftermath of Sam Altman’s removal from the position of OpenAI CEO, Anupam Mittal, CEO of Shaadi.com and judge on Shark Tank India, extends an invitation to Altman. This invitation follows Altman’s recent tweet expressing his fondness for his time at Open AI.

Mittal, in response to Altman’s tweet, suggests, “Come build foundational AI models for India… the world needs more AI platforms outside of big-tech, and god knows it’s our time now.”

Earlier this year, Altman had expressed skepticism about India’s ability to develop an artificial intelligence tool similar to ChatGPT, stating that such attempts were “hopeless.” This comment had triggered a challenge from Tech Mahindra CEO CP Gurnani, who accepted the challenge via Twitter.

Altman, who was seeking to raise funds for an AI chip startup, will not return as CEO of OpenAI, according to recent reports. The interim CEO is expected to be Emmett Shear, co-founder of Twitch.
