New Delhi,Union Minister Smriti Irani took a sharp dig at Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal during a public meeting held in Delhi. Irani, addressing the crowd, remarked that Kejriwal had “sent half of his cabinet ministers to jail,” and now there is uncertainty about how long he will remain out of prison.

This statement from Irani comes in the backdrop of ongoing legal troubles faced by several ministers in the AAP-led Delhi government. Senior AAP leaders Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh are currently behind bars over money laundering allegations related to the Delhi liquor policy case. Delhi CM Kejriwal has also faced scrutiny from the Enforcement Directorate, with summons issued in November.

Irani’s comments were made at a public gathering in the presence of BJP leader Manoj Tiwari. The political landscape in Delhi continues to be marked by legal challenges and verbal sparring between rival parties.
