A new crisis has emerged in front of CBSE-affiliated private schools in  Bihar. Not only are they struggling to find B.Ed. trained teachers in Bihar, but a significant number of teachers from private and convent schools have resigned, opting for government schools. The recruitment of over three lakh teachers by the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) in primary, middle, and high schools within six months has witnessed an unprecedented shift.

Out of the approximately two lakh teachers appointed, a considerable number were previously employed in private schools. Several private schools in Bihar have seen the selection of teachers under the age of 40 through the BPSC. Renowned private schools in Bihar have witnessed over 20,000 teachers transitioning to government schools. In response, private school administrations have started inviting applications to fill these vacancies. According to school organizations, applications for significant recruitment will be solicited in February and March, aiming to address the shortage of teachers in the upcoming academic session. Dr. Rajiv Ranjan Sinha, President of the CBSE-affiliated schools in Patliputra Sahodaya, highlighted that completing the B.Ed. course presents a promising opportunity for aspiring teachers.
