Patna, The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) commenced the second phase of the Teacher Recruitment Exam (TRE 2.0) on Thursday, witnessing an initial turnout of over 6,000 candidates across three centers in Patna. An anticipated 2.23 lakh examinees are set to take the test on Friday.
Scheduled to run from December 8 to 15, TRE 2.0 will span 28 districts with 396 examination centers, including nine in Patna. Friday’s session, from 12 noon to 2:30 pm, will focus on education department vacancies for Class IX and X teachers, covering various subjects.
Thursday’s examinations included sessions for headmasters and music/art teachers, targeting positions listed by the backward and extremely backward classes welfare department, and the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes welfare department.
In response to errors in subject selection, social science candidates were granted an opportunity to rectify their choices. Security measures, such as CCTV cameras and jammers, have been implemented around examination centers to curb unfair practices.
Examinees are permitted entry from 9:30 to 11 am, with the examination officially commencing at noon. The BPSC aims to ensure a smooth and fair testing environment throughout the recruitment process.

BPSC Announces Results of 68th Combined Main (Written) Competitive Examination
In a recent announcement, the Bihar Public Service Commission revealed the results of the 68th Combined Main (Written) Competitive Examination. A total of 867 candidates cleared the exam conducted in May, paving the way for interviews scheduled in the second week of January.
The successful candidates represent diverse categories, including unreserved, economically weaker sections, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, extremely backward class, backward class, and women from backward classes. The results also include candidates with disabilities, such as blindness, deafness, speech impairment, and locomotor handicaps.
