U.P. speaker facilitates dialogue among lawmakers; Akhilesh, ministers shower praise

Lucknow | In preparation for the upcoming budget session, Uttar Pradesh Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana organized a dialogue session involving lawmakers. Finance Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna and Opposition Leader Akhilesh Yadav participated, with Mahana receiving praise for his conduct in the 18th Vidhan Sabha.

Mahana emphasized the importance of utilizing assembly sessions to address issues concerning the masses, suggesting lawmakers learn from leaders like Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Sushma Swaraj, and Hukum Singh.

Finance Minister Khanna urged lawmakers to come prepared and ask relevant questions during sessions. Opposition Leader Akhilesh Yadav commended Mahana’s initiatives, suggesting study tours for lawmakers and praising the introduction of modern concepts.

Approximately 40 lawmakers, including ministers Nitin Agarwal, Rakesh Sachan, Rajni Tiwari, Suresh Rahi, Asim Arun, and Ajeet Pal, participated in the dialogue.
