Unwavering Resolve: Nitish Kumar Vows to Serve Bihar Despite Attacks”

Bihar’s Chief Minister, Nitish Kumar, resolutely reiterated his unwavering commitment to the state on Saturday. Speaking candidly to reporters, the Bihar Chief Minister boldly declared, “No matter how vehemently individuals seek to assail us, we remain resolute in our unwavering dedication to tirelessly serve our state day and night.”

He further asserted, “Myself and my cabinet ministers steadfastly attend to the concerns of our citizenry, promptly convening when necessary.”

Notably, on Thursday, the opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Bihar publicly declared that its doors were firmly shut to Nitish Kumar, who severed ties with the saffron party a year ago, thereby dislodging it from power within the state.

State BJP President, Samrat Choudhary, delivered this categorical pronouncement in response to inquiries from journalists regarding the Janata Dal (United) leader’s address at the convocation ceremony of Mahatma Gandhi Central University in Motihari.

During the event, attended by President Droupadi Murmu and Governor Rajendra Arlekar, Nitish Kumar openly recounted the strenuous negotiations he undertook with the former Congress-led central government to secure approval for a university in Motihari, the very place where Mahatma Gandhi initiated the Champaran Satyagraha.

Without explicitly naming Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Kumar acknowledged that this project only came to fruition following a “transition of leadership in 2014,” as the UPA government “initially rebuffed the proposal and, after persistent persuasion, tentatively consented but made no progress.”

The occasion was further marked by Kumar’s declaration of “lifelong personal amity” with Radha Mohan Singh, the local BJP Member of Parliament who held the pivotal agriculture portfolio in the initial Modi cabinet.
