Former Infosys CFO TV Mohandas Pai has emphasized the need for signage boards in Kannada and Malayalam at Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir. His statement follows reports indicating that the temple authorities have installed signboards in Telugu and Tamil to cater to devotees from southern states.

In a post on X, Pai asserted, “We need Kannada and Malayalam too,” tagging Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath and PM Narendra Modi.

Many social media users echoed Mohandas Pai’s sentiments, questioning the absence of signage boards in Kannada. One user expressed disappointment, stating, “If this is what it will be! This will be utterly disappointing! Many from Karnataka have contributed to this at every level.”

Addressing the concerns, Additional Director General of Police Piyush Mordia explained that the multilingual signboards aim to facilitate devotees from various parts of the country, including those who speak Tamil and Telugu on a large scale.

The installation ceremony of Lord Ram’s idol in Ayodhya’s Ram Temple is scheduled for January 22, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi expected to attend. Additionally, the Ayodhya airport is set to be inaugurated on December 30. The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has extended invitations to 7,000 people, including 3,000 VVIPs, for the ceremony. Notable personalities like Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Amitabh Bachchan, Mukesh Ambani, and Gautam Adani are among the invitees. Representatives from 50 countries will witness the pran pratishtha ceremony of Ram Lalla.
