In response to the prevailing cold wave conditions and an orange alert issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Council (UPBEC) has announced a winter vacation for all educational institutions in the state.

The winter break, effective immediately, extends until January 14, 2024, covering schools from pre-primary to Class 8. This decision, mandated by government correspondence, is not limited to council-run schools; it is applicable to aided and recognized schools across Uttar Pradesh.

BSA Dinesh Kumar, upon receiving government directives, has emphasized the careful enforcement of this winter break across all educational institutions. District School Inspector Chandra K Singh has instructed secondary school principals to grant holidays to students in classes up to the 8th until January 14, 2024, in accordance with government orders.

This comprehensive approach ensures that both students and educational institutions strictly adhere to the designated winter break schedule, considering the safety and well-being of all.
