Indian Navy rescues Pakistani fishermen from Iranian boat, conducts over 12-Hour operation

Indian Navy, acting as saviors in the sea for Pakistanis, carried out a daring operation spanning over 12 hours to rescue fishermen aboard a captured vessel. According to media reports, the Indian Navy intercepted an Iranian boat engaged in fishing activities and successfully freed 23 Pakistani citizens who were onboard. It is reported that the Indian Navy conducted the operation against maritime pirates to ensure the safety of the captives.

Information from Navy Spokesperson:

A spokesperson for the Indian Navy provided details regarding the incident, stating that specialized teams were deployed to inspect the vessel, which was primarily used for fishing purposes. The inspection aims to restart fishing operations and ensure the safe return of the boat to its intended destination.

Navy’s Operation:

Prior to the rescue mission, the Indian Navy had announced its efforts to rescue the captured fishing boat. An operation was launched with elite naval forces and their respective crews onboard. The Navy clarified that the vessel was intercepted on Thursday.

Location of the Operation:

The INS Sumedha intercepted the FV Al Kamber on Friday. Following this, INS Trishul joined the operation, resulting in the successful rescue of the individuals onboard. The captured fishing boat was traced approximately 90 nautical miles southwest of Socotra, originating from the location. It was reported that armed maritime pirates were onboard the vessel during the incident.
