Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, in a press conference following the launch of the ‘Praja Palana’ program, has accused former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) of purchasing 22 Land Cruiser vehicles before the assembly polls without public knowledge.
Addressing reporters, Reddy disclosed, “Hoping to come back to power, former Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao had bought 22 Land Cruiser vehicles before the polls ‘without telling anyone.'”
He further revealed that even he, as the Chief Minister, was unaware of the existence of these vehicles for 10 days after assuming office. According to Reddy, an officer informed him that 22 Land Cruisers were purchased and hidden in Vijayawada.
“KCR went home after losing. He bought them without telling anyone. It is government property,” asserted CM Revanth Reddy.
Responding to KTR’s statement about forming shadow teams to monitor the Congress government’s performance, Reddy questioned the need for such teams, suggesting that the opposition could provide suggestions and analyze government decisions in the assembly.
“Why the shadow team? You were ministers till yesterday; you have the ministers with you even after winning or losing. Let them work as shadow ministers. They didn’t work till now; at least they will work now. Losing the power, KTR is talking like that,” remarked Reddy.
On the issue of the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) exam, Reddy informed that the president of the board has resigned, and the decision lies with the governor. He expressed confidence that within one year, 2 lakh jobs would be created after the governor’s decision.
