Former Chief Minister and convenor of Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular), Jitan Ram Manjhi, leveled serious allegations against RJD leader and former Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav, accusing him of amassing up to 50-50 lakh rupees through transfer-posting schemes. Speaking to journalists in Bodh Gaya on Sunday, Manjhi claimed that Tejashwi Yadav and his party minister played a large-scale game of transfer-posting, extracting hefty sums of money. He further stated that such practices were halted by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar upon receiving information about a similar case in the past.
Addressing the issue of transfer-posting games in the Mahagathbandhan government, Manjhi emphasized that the decision to prevent such activities clearly demonstrates that in the government, the Chief Minister holds all the power, and not any Deputy Chief Minister. Reflecting on the controversy surrounding teacher appointments, Manjhi asserted that Tejashwi Yadav’s statements on the matter were baseless. Manjhi also challenged Yadav on the allocation of land during his tenure as the Revenue Minister, questioning why land wasn’t provided to landless individuals when the government possessed vast acres of land.
Taking a dig at Tejashwi Yadav, Manjhi remarked that in his 45 years in the Legislative Assembly, it was the first time he witnessed the opposition leader missing the budget session. Manjhi promised an expansion of the ministerial cabinet in Bihar after the budget session.
