In the latest edition of Mann Ki Baat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has questioned the trend of organizing weddings abroad and encouraged families to celebrate such occasions within India. The Prime Minister emphasized the need to take the “vocal for local” initiative seriously, urging citizens to consider hosting celebrations domestically.

PM Modi also addressed the rising use of UPI for payments and urged citizens to make all transactions through UPI for the upcoming month, seeking feedback on their experiences.

Furthermore, he highlighted ‘Project Surat,’ aimed at promoting cleanliness and sustainable growth in Gujarat’s Surat city, emphasizing that cleanliness is not just a one-day campaign but an integral part of life.

On the 15th anniversary of the 26/11 attacks, PM Modi paid tribute, acknowledging the resilience of Mumbai and the entire nation. He stated that India, with its capability, not only recovered from the heinous attack but is now confronting terrorism with determination.

The Prime Minister also noted the significance of November 26, marking the adoption of the Constitution of India by the Constituent Assembly in 1949. He extended wishes on Constitution Day, celebrating India’s commitment to its democratic values.
