Patna, Bihar: The South-west monsoon has decided to grace the state with its presence for the past couple of days, and its impact on Saturday was nothing short of remarkable. Rainfall, generous in nature, graced various corners of the state, including the capital city, Patna. From the early morning hours till late evening, Patna enjoyed intermittent, gentle showers. The meteorological records show a rainfall of 18.4 mm accumulated by 5:30 pm.
The forecast from the Meteorological Centre for the next 24 hours is a symphony of light to moderate rain, expected to grace several regions. Specifically, the north-eastern, north-western, north-central, and south-western parts of the state should prepare for a delightful drizzle.
However, a special mention goes to Madhubani, Supaul, Araria, and Kishanganj districts, where a heavy downpour is anticipated. In the past 24 hours, Katihar topped the charts with a staggering 88.0 mm of rainfall, followed by Jamui at 71 mm, Narpatganj at 63.2 mm, Jhajha at 62.2 mm, and Sangrampur at 60.2 mm. Raniganj experienced 56.6 mm, Ahmedabad saw 54.6 mm, Lakshmipur had 53.2 mm, Bahargama soaked in 51.2 mm, and Jalalgarh recorded 49.2 mm of rainfall.
