Nawada, Bihar: Ashutosh Kumar Verma, the District Magistrate, convened a session for the second appeal under the Bihar Public Grievance Redressal Act at his office. During this session, a total of 08 complainants appeared, and gratifyingly, 05 of these cases were promptly resolved.
Among the appeals, Avinash Kumar, a complainant from Nawada Sadar Zone, Mufassil Police Station, Ambika Vigha Village, submitted a grievance. After diligent investigation and a fair hearing, the concerned officer successfully addressed and resolved the issue.
Another appellant, Deepak Kumar from Mahadalit Tola and Yadav Tola in Amhadi Village, Rajan Post Office, Sirdala Police Station, filed an online second appeal on 20.05.2023, as per the Bihar Public Grievance Redressal Rights Act of 2015. Following a comprehensive hearing conducted by the relevant officer, the problem was aptly redressed.
In a similar vein, Ram Nandan Singh from Gowasa Village in Narhat Block expressed dissatisfaction with the decision made by the First Appellate Authority, Nawada. Accordingly, an online second appeal was lodged on 31.07.2023, in accordance with the Bihar Public Grievances Redressal Act of 2015. After attentive deliberation by the concerned officer, the issue was effectively resolved.
The Bihar Public Grievance Redressal Act of 2015 mandates that all cases must be addressed within two months of the hearing. For grievances pertaining to panchayats within the blocks, individuals hold the prerogative to appeal to the Sub-Divisional Public Grievance Redressal Office in Nawada Sadar and Rajauli. Alternatively, for district-level concerns and complaints, the District Public Grievance Redressal Officer’s offices are situated within the Right to Public Services Act building, adjacent to the main entrance of the Collectorate. In the process of dispute resolution, both parties involved are summoned, and no fees are levied for this purpose. The office is equipped with a seamless registration and redressal mechanism for complaints, ensuring that filing an appeal remains free of charge. The introduction of online avenues for appeals has further streamlined the grievance redressal process.
It is noteworthy that individuals can take advantage of the provisions of the Bihar Public Grievance Redressal Act to register their grievances and attain definitive solutions for their concerns.
