Chaos ensued in Aurangabad, Bihar, on Sunday when a major part of an airplane became stuck in the upper barricade of the railway bridge in the Baruna police station area on National Highway-19. This incident resulted in disruptions in vehicular traffic, causing considerable inconvenience to the public. What’s noteworthy is that Baruna witnessed heated discussions for several hours. Some speculated about the plane crashing on the NH, while others mentioned it getting stuck in the bridge during its passage.

The truth is that a significant portion of an Air India plane was loaded onto an LP truck and being transported to Patna from Delhi Airport. However, due to the reduced height of the upper barricading on the Baruna railway bridge, the main part of the plane got stuck. The driver, Narendra Singh, who was transporting the aircraft from Delhi Airport to Patna Airport, revealed that two separate vehicles were carrying different parts of the Air India plane.

Efforts are underway to remove the plane

After the plane became lodged in the bridge, officials from DFCCIL, who constructed the upper barricading of the bridge, including Rajesh Kumar, arrived at the scene. The process to remove the aircraft commenced. Kumar mentioned that the barricade’s height over the road is precisely five meters, designed to match the road’s capacity. This barricade design has previously prevented heavy loads from getting stuck. The operation to extricate the plane from the bridge is currently ongoing.
