As Jammu and Kashmir experience dry weather conditions, the minimum temperatures in the region have seen a decline. The meteorological department predicts a further drop in night temperatures.
On Sunday, the weather was clear with a few hours of sunshine during the day. The ski resort of Gulmarg in north Kashmir recorded a minimum temperature of -3.6 degrees Celsius, while Pahalgam in south Kashmir reported -2.4 degrees Celsius.
Other weather stations registered minimum temperatures above zero. The summer capital, Srinagar, recorded a minimum temperature of 1.4 degrees Celsius. In north Kashmir’s Kupwara, the night temperature was 1.2 degrees Celsius, and in south Kashmir’s Kokernag, it was 2.6 degrees Celsius.
