In a vibrant democracy like India, it is imperative for all political parties, regardless of their ideological differences, to come together and champion the cause of inclusivity, transparency, and progressiveness. The essence of democracy lies in the active participation of its citizens in shaping public policies, and for this to happen effectively, it is essential that the political leadership leads by example.

The ruling party, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with prominent ministers like Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar, holds a significant responsibility in setting the tone for open and transparent governance. It is incumbent upon them to engage with the public through various channels, including writing opinion pieces in Hindi, English, and regional newspapers, and participating in interviews with TV channels. By doing so, they can not only communicate their policies effectively but also invite constructive feedback and criticism from the citizens.

Similarly, the opposition parties, such as the Indian National Congress, under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, and other prominent leaders like Mallikarjun Kharge, play a crucial role in holding the government accountable and providing alternative perspectives on important issues. They should actively contribute to public discourse by writing op-eds and giving interviews, thereby fostering a healthy debate that enriches the democratic process.

Moreover, leaders of regional parties across India should also join this endeavor to make Indian democracy more progressive, plural, and diverse. By sharing their insights and experiences, they can ensure that the concerns and aspirations of various regions and communities are adequately represented in the national discourse.

The objective of this collective effort should be to create a knowledge democracy, where policies are formulated based on evidence, data, and informed opinions rather than narrow interests or ideologies. Open society thrives on robust debates and discussions, and it is through such exchanges that the true spirit of democracy is realized.

In conclusion, by embracing inclusivity, transparency, and open dialogue, political parties can strengthen Indian democracy and fulfill the aspirations of its people. It is time for all stakeholders to come together and work towards building a more prosperous, equitable, and resilient nation.
