Bhagalpur, Bihar: In a shocking incident at Zero Mile Chowk in the industrial precinct, an unfortunate individual lost their life in a road accident involving a speeding truck on Saturday morning.
Eyewitnesses reported that a high-speed truck struck a cyclist, identified as Manoj Kumar Mandal (45), who was carrying bananas for sale. The impact of the collision resulted in Mandal’s immediate demise. Enraged bystanders quickly surrounded the truck and apprehended the driver.
The aftermath saw heightened tensions as locals blocked the main road, demanding compensation for the victim’s family. Even JDU legislator Gopal Mandal arrived at the scene, where he confronted the deceased’s relatives, leading to a heated exchange and an incident captured on video.
This tragic incident unfolded around 7 AM near Zero Mile Chowk, a regular route for farmers from Navgachhiya across the Ganga, transporting goods for sale.
