Patna Police has become stringent regarding the use of light shows or hooter on vehicles. Vehicle owners caught with such installations will face hefty fines. According to information from the Traffic SP office, if a vehicle is found with a light show or hooter, a fine of ₹10,000 will be imposed by the traffic police. In response, the traffic police have initiated a campaign to enforce this rule.
Under the Motor Vehicles Act, the use of light shows or hooter is illegal. Traffic SP Purna Jha has instructed all sector in-charges to impose fines on vehicles displaying such features. Additionally, fines will be imposed if detected by CCTV cameras. Typically, individuals install light shows or hooter on vehicles to avoid VIP or administrative scrutiny.
