Ayodhya: As the inauguration of the Ram Temple by Prime Minister Narendra Modi approaches on January 22, Champat Rai, the General Secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra, has urged devotees to avoid traveling to Ayodhya on that day. In an interview with NDTV, Rai encouraged people to celebrate ‘Anand Mahotsav’ in their nearest temples, regardless of size or deity.

Rai also cautioned individuals with constitutional protocols against traveling to Ayodhya on January 22, as the trust won’t be able to accommodate them. Despite preparations being near completion and the sanctum sanctorum ready, the entire construction of the grand Ram Temple is expected to take approximately two more years.

The Uttar Pradesh administration anticipates a significant influx of devotees and is making arrangements accordingly, including the establishment of tent cities in Ayodhya. Security measures will be heightened for the event, given the expected presence of numerous VIPs and VVIPs.

Prime Minister Modi is set to open the Ram Temple for devotees in a grand ceremony, with around 6,000 eminent dignitaries invited from across the nation. The UP government plans to celebrate the inauguration extensively, including recitations of the Ram Charitmanas and Hanuman Chalisa in prestigious temples.
