In a strategic move ahead of the first phase of Lok Sabha elections on April 19, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is slated to address a public rally in Nawada on April 7 at 10 am. His appearance aims to galvanize support for Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Vivek Thakur, who is contesting from the Nawada parliamentary seat against Sharwan Kushwaha of the Mahagathbandhan-RJD coalition.

Nawada, a pivotal constituency, has witnessed BJP’s dominance under Modi’s leadership. In both the 2014 and 2019 elections, BJP candidates emerged victorious. Giriraj Singh secured the seat in 2014, followed by Chandan Singh of BJP’s ally, Lok Janshakti Party (LJP), in 2019, defeating RJD contenders.

With Modi at the helm, the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government is vying for a third consecutive term. His presence in Nawada underscores the party’s commitment to retaining stronghold constituencies and solidifying their position in the upcoming polls.

“Nawada will go to polls in the first phase of the Lok Sabha election on April 19.”

The rally is anticipated to draw a significant crowd, showcasing the fervor and momentum behind the BJP’s campaign in Bihar. As the election date approaches, political fervor in Nawada intensifies, with each party striving to sway voters in their favor.
