Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, in a recent address during a cultural program on Janmashtami, staunchly defended the Sanatan Dharma, asserting its resilience throughout history. Adityanath emphasized that the faith survived challenges from notable historical figures like Ravana, Kansa, Babur, and Aurangzeb, and would remain impervious to what he referred to as “power-hungry parasitic creatures.”
The controversy stemmed from alleged anti-Sanatan Dharma remarks made by DMK leader Udhayanidhi Stalin, who compared it to infectious diseases. Adityanath refrained from directly naming Stalin but condemned any malicious attempts to vilify the Sanatan Dharma, likening it to spitting at the Sun, an act that would inevitably harm the perpetrator.
Adityanath took a swipe at opposition parties, asserting that their future generations would bear shame for their actions. He underlined the importance of embracing India’s traditions and highlighted the ongoing construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya.
In closing, Adityanath extended his wishes for Shri Krishna Janmashtami, highlighting Lord Krishna’s role in upholding religion, truth, and justice as an incarnation of Lord Vishnu.
