New Delhi: Team India scripted a historic win at Newlands in Cape Town, securing a remarkable triumph over South Africa. The second Test, which lasted a mere 107 overs, marked the shortest Test match ever played, culminating in India’s victory by 7 wickets.

Pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah emerged as the hero of the game, delivering a fiery spell on Day 2 that contributed significantly to India’s success. Former cricketers, including Sachin Tendulkar, praised Bumrah’s consistent channel bowling on challenging wickets.

Despite the opposition’s resilience, India’s pace bowling attack, deemed one of the most threatening globally, proved instrumental in the team’s triumph. The game’s brevity prompted varied reactions, with some expressing a desire for a more extended series.

BCCI secretary Jay Shah lauded the Indian bowlers for their strategic use of favorable conditions, emphasizing Rohit Sharma’s leadership skills. The win repositions India at the top spot in the World Test Championship standings.

Top Comment : P Krishna does not suit the Indian team. His body language, face expression, lazy motion, not confident, and lack of variety in his bowling are all points of criticism for P Krishna. His past record also supports the same. Mr. Singh would have been far better; he can get you wickets, and moreover, he is a left-arm bowler. Left-arm bowlers must be in the team.
