Ezaan Awaiz and Arafat Minhas contributed half-centuries for Pakistan, but they couldn’t lead their team to a respectable score. None of Pakistan’s eight batsmen managed to reach double digits. In this tournament, Pakistan posted its lowest score while batting first. Although Australia’s batting performance was not exceptional, they clinched the victory in a closely contested match.
Australia’s Tom Streaker Claims Six Wickets
Australia’s bowler Tom Streaker showcased his brilliance, taking six wickets in the match. He dismissed Pakistan’s opening batsman Samail Hussain for 17 and later sent back two more key batsmen, Azaan Awaiz and Captain Saeed Baig. Streaker bowled 10 overs, conceding only 24 runs with an impressive economy rate.
Pressure Mounts on Pakistan from Australia
Despite a competitive effort from Australian batsmen, Pakistan faced pressure throughout the match. Opening batsman Harry Dixon scored a half-century, and Oliver Peek contributed with a 49-run innings. However, no other batsman managed to reach the 30-run mark.
