New Delhi, In a blow to Team India’s lineup, KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja will miss the 2nd Test against England due to injuries. Rahul, complaining of pain in his right quadriceps, joins Jadeja, who sustained a hamstring injury during the Hyderabad Test.

Expressing disappointment over the absence of key players like Virat Kohli, Brendon McCullum, England’s head coach, acknowledged the challenge but highlighted India’s deep talent pool. The coach assured that his team would thoroughly prepare to face the revised Indian lineup in Visakhapatnam.

To counter these setbacks, India has added Sarfaraz Khan, Saurabh Kumar, and Washington Sundar to the Test squad. Kohli, who withdrew from the first two Tests for personal reasons, has further compounded India’s challenges. England currently leads the five-match series 1-0.

“We will enjoy where we sit at the moment and lap up the great experience we have had over the last few days,” McCullum stated. He added that decisions regarding team strategies would be made after assessing conditions in Vizag.
