Shoaib Malik, former captain of the Pakistan cricket team, has tied the knot with Pakistani actress Sana Javed. It is Shoaib’s third weeding. He was previously married to Indian tennis star Sania Mirza.

The rumours of Shoaib-Sania separation had been high since 2022, and according to a source in Sania’s family quoted by PTI, “it was a ‘khula”, which refers to the right of a Muslim woman to unilaterally divorce her husband.

Shoaib and Sania had got wed in Hyderabad in April 2010 after the cricketer had divorced his first wife Ayesha Siddiqui.

Shoaib and his new wife Sana shared pictures of their marriage on their social media profiles, and the development became the talk of the town.

Who is Sana Javed?

Sana Javed, who had earlier married singer Umair Jaiswal in 2020, has featured in various successful Pakistani TV drama series and  films. The news of her divorce with Jaiswal had surfaced two months ago.

Sana made her acting debut in 2012 and her last role as an actor came in romantic drama ‘Sukoon’.
