The influence of the western disturbance has prompted alterations in Bihar’s weather. Despite the predominantly dry atmosphere on Saturday, the city of Patna recorded a maximum temperature of 24.9 degrees Celsius, three degrees above the normal range. The minimum temperature also experienced a slight increase, reaching 12.2 degrees Celsius. The Weather Department has issued alerts, particularly for Patna and several other districts, regarding the prevalent dry conditions.

In regions like Bhagalpur and its vicinity, there are prospects of light rain. Bhagalpur district witnessed a change in weather on Saturday, with dry and windy conditions prevailing throughout the day. The maximum daytime temperature reached 25 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature saw a rise to 9 degrees Celsius. However, with the influence of the western disturbance, there is a possibility of light rain in Bhagalpur and nearby districts between the 5th and 7th of February. If rainfall occurs, it could be beneficial for the winter crops, particularly wheat.
Gopalganj and Surroundings Weather Update:
Gopalganj and its neighboring areas are also experiencing continuous weather variations. A moist wind has been in motion since Friday night, accompanied by the rapid fall of dry leaves from trees amidst strong winds during the day. Saturday saw clear skies without any haze. As the day progressed, the temperature rose, and by evening, a chill in the air was noticeable. Dr. S.N. Pandey, the nodal officer for agricultural weather services in BAU Sabour, Bhagalpur, indicated that some places in North Bihar may witness drizzling and light rain under the influence of the western disturbance. The coming days, particularly Sunday and Monday, hold the potential for drizzling and light rainfall. Following that, the weather is expected to transition into a more spring-like pattern.
