New Delhi, As anticipation builds over the Chief Ministerial appointments in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Chhattisgarh, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has unveiled the names of observers tasked with this crucial decision. Having secured victories in three out of the four states in the recent assembly elections, the BJP is yet to disclose the identities of the Chief Ministers.

A total of nine observers have been designated for the three states. Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Rajya Sabha MP Saroj Pandey, and senior BJP leader Vinod Tawde will oversee the selection process in Rajasthan. Meanwhile, Manohar Lal Khattar, Dr K Lakshman, and Asha Lakra will fulfill the observer roles for Madhya Pradesh. For Chhattisgarh, Minister of Tribal Affairs of India Arjun Munda, Former Assam CM Sarbananda Sonowal, and Former Rajya Sabha MP Dushyant Kumar Gautam will be the observers.

While media reports suggest the likelihood of new faces assuming the role of Chief Ministers in all three states, this information has not been officially verified by Mint.

BJP national general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya indicated that the suspense surrounding the Chief Ministerial choices would be unveiled on December 10. The party leaders convened for a crucial Parliamentary Party meeting, attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Ministers S Jaishankar, Amit Shah, and Ashwani Vaishanaw.

In the recent assembly polls, the BJP secured a significant mandate, winning 163 seats, with the Congress trailing at 66 seats. Rajasthan witnessed the BJP winning 115 seats out of 199, while Chhattisgarh saw the BJP securing 54 seats against the Congress’s 35.
