Extended screen time can strain your eyes, affecting productivity and causing exhaustion. In an exclusive interview with HT Lifestyle, Himalayan Siddhaa Akshar, Founder of Akshar Yoga Institutions, suggests practical tips:

1. Reduce Screen Time: Limit daily screen exposure for ample eye rest.

2. Take Frequent Breaks:Breaks prevent extended periods of eye strain.

3. Avoid Dim Lighting: Ensure sufficient lighting to reduce eye strain.

4. Steer Clear of Fluorescent Lights: Harsh on the eyes, may weaken vision over time.

Benefits of Yoga for Eye Health:

Akshar recommends incorporating these Yoga asanas into your routine:

1. Tadasana (Mountain Pose): Engage muscles, relax shoulders, breathe deeply.

2. Padahastasana (Standing Forward Bend):Bend forward, palms on either side of feet.

3. Sirshasana (Headstand): Balance on head, engage core, align legs with upper body.

4. Halasana (Plow Pose):Lift legs, lower back behind head, support lower back if needed.

5. Chakrasana (Wheel Pose): Arch body, distribute weight among limbs, hold for 15-20 seconds.

6. Dhanurasana (Bow Pose):Lift arms and legs, hold position for 15-20 seconds.

7. Desk Yoga: Incorporate chair yoga like Tadasana, Samakonasana, and Utkatasana into workspace routine.

Whether working from home or in an office, a few minutes every hour to stretch and relax eyes can maintain overall well-being and productivity.
