In a significant move ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) today announced its candidates for all five seats in Bihar. From Samastipur, LJP (Ram Vilas) has nominated former IPS officer Kishor Kunal as its candidate.
The meeting of the LJP (Ram Vilas) election committee has concluded, followed immediately by the announcement of its candidates. The party is contesting elections from five Lok Sabha seats in Bihar: Jamui, Hajipur, Samastipur, Khagaria, and Vaishali. Arun Bharati, sister-in-law of party chief Chirag Paswan, has filed her nomination from the Jamui constituency. Chirag Paswan himself will contest from Hajipur. Additionally, from Samastipur, LJP (Ram Vilas) has fielded JD(U) leader and Bihar cabinet minister Ashok Choudhary’s daughter, Shambhavi Choudhary. Rajesh Varma, former Deputy Mayor of Bhagalpur, and a gold trader, will represent Khagaria, while Veena Devi has been given the ticket from Vaishali. It is noteworthy that LJP (Ram Vilas) is a component of the NDA coalition in Bihar.
Pashupati Paras Denied Seat:
BJP has not allocated any seat to uncle Pashupati Paras in Bihar. He has reiterated multiple times that he will not leave the Hajipur seat under any circumstances. However, when the deal was finalized between the NDA allies regarding the seats, BJP sidelined Pashupati Paras. Not a single seat was allotted to Paras. Subsequently, Paras resigned from his position as a Union Minister. Tensions between Chirag Paswan and uncle Pashupati Paras have been evident.
Pashupati Paras Rejoins Modi Family:
However, a few days later, the discontent of Pashupati Paras has been resolved. Pashupati Kumar Paras once again becomes a part of the Modi family. Paras tweeted about this development on Saturday, stating that our party, Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party (RLJP), is an integral part of the NDA. He further mentioned that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also our leader, and his decisions are paramount for us.
