Jaipur: In a ceremony held today, Bhajanlal Sharma, a first-time MLA from Sanganer and a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), took the oath of office as the Chief Minister of Rajasthan. Governor Kalraj Mishra administered the oath to Sharma, along with cabinet members Diya Kumari and Prem Chand Bairwa.

The swearing-in ceremony witnessed the presence of several prominent leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, former Rajasthan CM Ashok Ghlot, and BJP leaders from various states.

Sharma, a BJP state general secretary, secured victory in the Sanganer assembly seat during the recent elections, winning with a significant margin. The new Chief Minister has already begun making key appointments and is expected to outline his government’s priorities in the coming days.

The BJP won 115 seats in the November 25 assembly elections, forming the government in Rajasthan. The ceremony, marked by elaborate security and arrangements, drew attention as the new leadership takes charge of the state.
