In a poignant reflection on the intricacies of UPSC interviews, Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer Parveen Kaswan shared a moment from the film ’12th Fail’ on X, underscoring the authenticity of the depicted experiences. Kaswan’s post delves into the nervous anticipation and emotional tension that candidates undergo while waiting for their UPSC interviews.

The shared video features a scene from the film where Vikrant Massey’s character, Manoj Kumar Sharma, enters the UPSC building for the crucial interview round. Kaswan, resonating with the portrayal, commented, “What a nostalgic feeling. And such a real depiction of what happens in the UPSC building during an interview. Been there three times like this!”

Drawing from personal experience, Kaswan provided additional insights, highlighting the line of candidates at the entrance and the subsequent wait outside the boardroom before being summoned for the interview. He emphasized that he had been on the final list twice.

Since its upload on January 1, the video has garnered over 5.6 lakh views and more than 6,000 likes on X. Users engaged in discussions about the significance of the UPSC interview, the pressures faced by candidates, and sought advice for aspirants. The video has sparked a collective sense of nostalgia, resonating with individuals who have navigated the challenging yet memorable journey of UPSC interviews.
