In a Twitter post that quickly went viral, the official account of Rosenberg Police in Texas directly asked Elon Musk for his opinion on whether Tesla’s Cybertruck would be a suitable police vehicle. The tweet, which garnered over 324,000 views and 2,600 likes, featured a snapshot of a Cybertruck spotted in the area.

Elon Musk responded to the query with a “đź’Ż” emoji, indicating a full agreement. This sparked excitement among netizens, who began creating edits imagining a potential collaboration between Tesla’s Cybertruck and law enforcement.

The long-awaited Cybertruck, which was built at Tesla’s plant in Texas’ Austin in July 2023, has faced delays over the past two years. Musk introduced the electric pickup truck in 2019, and after several setbacks, it was officially announced in December 2023 with prices starting at $60,990.

The Cybertruck, known for its distinctive stainless steel design, has faced criticism for its unconventional styling and production challenges. Despite this, Musk emphasizes its utility, claiming it has “more utility than a truck” and is “faster than a sports car.” The highest-performance variant, the ‘Cyberbeast,’ is expected next year.

As discussions unfold around the prospect of Cybertrucks serving as police vehicles, the post has added a new layer to the Cybertruck’s journey, attracting attention and speculation online.
