Patna – The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has confirmed the dates for its 2026 secondary and higher secondary examinations, providing clarity to over 3 million students across the state.
The Class 12 (Intermediate) board examinations will be conducted from 2 February to 13 February 2026, while the Class 10 (Matric) examinations are scheduled from 17 February to 25 February 2026. Results for both streams are expected to be declared in March or April 2026, officials indicated.
In a related development, the board announced that the Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) joint entrance examination will take place from 19 January to 18 February 2026, with results to follow in March.
Separately, the Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Higher Secondary Level Language Examination has been fixed for 29–30 April 2026, with results due in May.
Entrance tests for admission to Class 6 and Class 11 in the state-run Simultala Residential School – widely regarded as Bihar’s most prestigious government school – will be held on 8 June and 24 October 2026 respectively. Results are slated for release in June and November accordingly.
BSEB Chairman Anand Kishore also released the schedule for compartmental, first-year and second-year D.El.Ed examinations alongside the main calendar.
The announcements bring an end to months of uncertainty for students, parents and coaching institutes in Bihar, where board results play a pivotal role in shaping higher education and career pathways.
