In a recent survey conducted by US-based consultancy firm ‘Morning Consult,’ Prime Minister Narendra Modi maintains his position as the world’s most popular leader with an impressive 76% approval rating. Following closely is Mexico President Andrés Manuel López Obrador at 66%, securing the second spot. Alain Berset, the President of the Swiss Confederation, claims the third position with a commendable 58% approval rating.

Notably, US President Joe Biden holds the eighth spot with a 37% approval rating, while the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Petr Fiala has the lowest approval rating at 16%. The survey, conducted from November 29 to December 5, 2023, is based on a seven-day moving average of adult residents in each country.

On the domestic front, leaders from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) celebrate PM Modi’s international recognition, emphasizing “Modi ki guarantee” and “Modi’s magic” endorsed by an international poll. This accolade is seen as a testament to Modi’s governance model and delivery, with expectations that it will impact the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections in 2024.
