The swearing-in ceremony for the expanded Rajasthan Cabinet unfolded at the Raj Bhavan in Jaipur, where 22 ministers, comprising diverse portfolios, took their oaths. The expansion, led by Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, included 12 cabinet-rank ministers, five MoS with independent charge, and five ministers of state.

Among the prominent figures who assumed ministerial responsibilities are Rajyavardhan Rathore, Gajendra Singh Khimsar, Kirori Lal Meena, and others, bringing a blend of experience and fresh perspectives to the state cabinet.

After the oath-taking, Rajyavardhan Rathore expressed gratitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP leaders, and Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma. Rathore pledged to serve Rajasthan diligently for the next five years, ensuring wholehearted efforts from his department for the welfare of the people.

Kirodi Lal Meena, another newly sworn-in minister, emphasized a commitment to being a protector of the people, promising zero tolerance for corruption, addressing public concerns, and ensuring women’s safety.

The Rajasthan Cabinet expansion follows Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma’s earlier oath-taking on December 15. In the recent assembly elections, BJP secured 115 seats, while Congress trailed with 69 seats out of the 199 contested. With a majority mark of 100, BJP’s victory paved the way for the formation of a robust state government.
