In the aftermath of the recent Parliament security breach on December 13, Shiva Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi voiced sharp criticism against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah. Chaturvedi expressed concerns about the administration’s response, stating, “If the responsibility is only of the Lok Sabha Secretariat and no one is above him, then all of this is running ‘Ram Bharose.'”

Chaturvedi questioned the accountability in the event of a war, drawing parallels between the recent breach and the 2001 Parliament attack. She emphasized the contrasting responses between then-PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee and the current leadership, highlighting the apparent inability to protect the Parliament.

The breach, involving individuals who infiltrated the Lok Sabha chamber, set off smoke canisters, and shouted slogans, has led to disruptions in both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. Opposition parties are demanding a statement from Home Minister Amit Shah and a discussion on the issue. Security personnel swiftly detained the culprits, with six individuals now in police custody.
