New Delhi, In a historic ruling, the Supreme Court’s decision on the abrogation of Article 370 is hailed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi as “not just a legal judgment” but a “beacon of hope, progress, and unity.” The PM emphasized the profound wisdom of the Court in fortifying the essence of unity cherished by Indians.

PM Modi assured the people of Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh that the government remains unwavering in fulfilling their dreams. “We are determined to ensure that the fruits of progress reach not only you but also extend their benefits to the most vulnerable and marginalized sections of our society who suffered due to Article 370,” he stated.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah welcomed the verdict, stating that it proves the decision to abrogate Article 370 was entirely constitutional, bringing peace and normalcy to Jammu and Kashmir since August 5, 2019.

While some leaders expressed disappointment, including Democratic Progressive Azad Party chairman Ghulam Nabi Azad, others like National Conference leader Omar Abdullah vowed to continue the struggle. Senior Congress leader Karan Singh advised those unhappy with the judgment to accept it and redirect their energies towards upcoming elections.

Shiv Sena leader Uddhav Thackeray welcomed the decision, expressing hope for early J&K elections and suggesting the inclusion of PoK before the electoral process in the entire Kashmir region.
