New Delhi, New York City has been crowned the world’s best city, according to a new yearly list by Time Out. The list, based on public surveys and expert insights from Time Out’s international team, highlighted New York’s food, diverse culture, and vibrant nightlife. Cape Town in South Africa secured the second position, followed by Berlin, London, and Madrid in the top five.
Remarkably, Mumbai, representing India, achieved the 12th position in this prestigious global ranking. The list, derived from a survey of 20,000 urban residents, also incorporated contributions from a network of writers and editors. It assessed various aspects, including the culinary landscape, architecture, and cultural richness, aiming to provide travel advice to a global audience.
Time Out magazine stated on its website, “We surveyed thousands of city dwellers about the quality and affordability of food, culture, and nightlife in their city. We also asked locals how their city makes them feel: are they happy there? Is it a beautiful place? Is it easy to make social connections? Their thousands of responses gave us a unique insight into the reality of living in the world’s greatest cities right now.”
