In a significant incident from Murshidabad district of West Bengal on the occasion of Ram Navami, an explosion occurred during a procession, resulting in injuries, including a woman who was admitted to Murshidabad Medical College. According to a police official, the explosion occurred on Wednesday evening during the Ram Navami procession in Shaktipur, Murshidabad, injuring a woman. The police are investigating the incident, and it is yet to be determined whether the explosion was caused by a bomb or for other reasons.

Furthermore, videos of the clash are circulating on social media, depicting the use of mild force by the police to control the crowd, including the firing of tear gas shells. The situation is reportedly under control, with additional forces deployed in the area. The injured have been taken to hospitals in Berhampore for treatment.

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had previously accused the BJP of orchestrating violence in the state ahead of the Lok Sabha elections. This incident comes in the wake of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s allegations of the ruling TMC conspiring to disrupt such events in the state.
